In anticipation of Mother's Day, The Folk Tree Collection presents BEDAZZLED III: Contemporary Jewelry Design, an exhibition featuring the work of approximately
thirty-five artists with an emphasis on unique styles, materials and techniques.
The dates of the show are April 23 - May 21, 2005, with a reception on Saturday,

From cast to fabricated, carved to beaded, the pieces on display show a broad range of possibilities in contemporary jewelry. Most of the artists represented are from California, among them: Yumi Ueno (bold fabricated sterling silver and gold pieces with an architectonic flair); Michele Scholnick (cast organic sterling silver forms on leather cord); Lisa Kan (lampwork beading crafted to mimic patterns in nature); Jan Powell (stamped domino bracelets with hand painted embellishments and gold leaf) and Eric Zammitt (laminated acrylic cuffs and more).

Artists from outside the state include: Courtney Lipson from Washington (with micro mosaic cuffs, pendants and earrings); and JL Walsh from Montana (silver settings incorporating river rock and other stones). Many of the artists represented have participated in fine crafts exhibitions throughout the country.

Works range in price from around $50. to approximately $500.
