Angel Santos
Talavera is the Mexican variation of majolica ware, brought to Mexico by Spanish artisans. A myriad of decorative and utilitarian designs are made in this tradition from the states of Puebla, Guanajuato and Michoac·n. Photos available on request.

Ceramist Manuel Morales uses the traditional glazing colors of cobalt blue and brown from iron oxide for his high-fired works. Collectors are attracted by his interpretation of the sun images so prevalent in Mexican folk art. Morales produces a variety of pieces, including plates (see above), bowls, cups vases, and urns.
