Tin as a medium has always been prevalent in Mexican folk craft. Tremendous flexibility allows tin to be pressed, hammered, punched, cut, tooled and painted. Ornaments of favorite symbolic images can be used year round for decoration.

Continuing the more traditional uses of tin, artists today are using recycled material to create contemporary designs. These tiny frames contain mirrors and are approximately eight inches high.
